Often, the specific requirements for the time switch technology have not yet been finalised in detail at the time of installation, or they may alter due to conversions or a change in use- for example, when a new tenant moves in. For this reason, flexible time switch technology is advantageous. With talento smart, the heating systems specialist is always on the safe side. The three variants – Basic, Classic and System – allow the specialist to implement the technologically and economically optimum solution in each case. Thanks to its flexible programming, changes can be made later without any difficulty or need for conversion work. The talento smart’s wide range of possible uses is enabled, in part, thanks to Grässlin’s decision to equip its new timers with a range of outstanding features. These include the large, easily legible display. In addition, the Astro function is integrated in all Classic and System products in the talento smart series. A wildcard function allows you to program recurring events just once, reducing time and effort by up to 80%. There is a copy function to quickly transfer existing programs. The overall system can also be protected by a PIN-entry system.
Mobile APP an new PC software:
With the talento smart app, Grässlin provides specialists for heating systems with a mobile instrument that enables them to programme the new generation of Grässlin talento smart timers flexibly and wirelessly. This is now joined by the launch of another convenient solution. The new PC software now makes it possible to carry out programming from home or the office on a PC, in addition to the existing smartphone and tablet options. Both the app and the PC version are based on the same menu navigation. The intuitive menu structure makes programming even easier for users. This represents maximum added value in terms of convenience, and major time and cost savings for specialists.
Programming made easy: intuitive user guidance
An attractive, clear design helps users when creating programmes. At the top right-hand corner, you will find the cog icon familiar from smartphones, which opens the settings menu. Here you can enter location coordinates, summer/winter time changeover, the time zone and Astro function.
The time programming functions are reached via the second line on the status screen. First, you choose whether to enter a recurring event or a date-specific event, such as holidays. Simple pictograms allow you to make selections, move back through the programme, display or close detailed overviews, add programmes, date ranges or times, or delete data. On the start screen, choosing the magnifying glass icon opens the search function for available devices. Once you have selected the relevant device, the screen displays its status (connected/not connected, number of channels, etc.). Two lines further down, you can display the existing programmes as a graph or switch to the next one.
You reach the synchronisation menu via the connected/not connected button on the status display. Two pictograms then symbolise the option of transferring a programme from a timer to the app.
Gateway to LAN network – convenient data transmission via LAN module
In the talento smart LAN module, the talento smart DIN-rail timer system series welcomes a new innovative product to the family. The new LAN module enables rapid and easy data transmission via LAN network. Which makes life significantly easier for fitters. The talento smart LAN module can be used to create different templates on a PC and then connect these to up to five talento smart S25 timers, without any trouble. The perfect solution for managing complex application areas, such as supermarkets, chain stores, schools and large administration buildings.The LAN module forms the connection between the PC and talento smart S25 DIN-rail timers. No matter which country you are in and where the timer is located, all programmes can be transferred anywhere in the world via the LAN network. For specialists, it is now easier than ever to program on the PC using the free PC software and then transfer and export this programming to the talento smart S25 via LAN network in direct remote access. This makes for a convenient solution with significant time savings. (Available in the third quarter 2018)
Easy handling of entire systems
With the talento smart S25 system version combined with the talento smart CE2 channel extension, a system with up to eight channels can be programmed via a single timer. The talento smart S25 itself has two channels. Data is transferred to the CE2 via Bluetooth. This means there is no need to lay wires. Each talento smart LAN module can be connected, in turn, to up to five talento smart S25 units. The programming options via app and PC make it possible to manage large applications conveniently by creating groups. This makes the system ideal for supermarkets or other large retail stores, for example, where main and supplier entrances with their different opening hours and the car park lighting all need to be controlled centrally.
